In the Western society, prevalence and severity of allergies are rapidly increasing.

Wageningen University and Research Center (Wageningen UR) has recognised this problem and established the Allergy Consortium Wageningen. This consortium combines the entire spectrum of expertise that Wageningen UR has to offer. (The Board of Directors of Wageningen UR has recognised this consortium as an official Wageningen Expertise Center)
